Financial Aid

Should you have any questions about any of the financial aid information presented here or on any of our other pages, please contact us at our hotline number (954) 201-2330, or at finserv@broward.edu.

Special note: Starting with the 2017-2018 academic year the FAFSA application will now be available on October 1st as opposed to January 1st. Please note that you will be required to provide 2015 tax information on the 2017-2018 FAFSA. Review our "Early FAFSA" page and the video to the right for additional information and guidelines.

Attending in Summer (May - August 2017)? Renew your FAFSA now! Completing the 2016-2017 FAFSA as soon as possible will give the Financial Aid Office enough time to process you ahead of your Summer term due date for payment. Once you have completed your FAFSA be sure to check your status on your myBC account by logging in and clicking on ‘Financial Aid’, then ‘Application Status’. Red flags must be cleared before aid can be awarded. Click on the 'Document Details' button for information on how to resolve each red flag.

The last day to complete a 2016-2017 FAFSA is June 30, 2017. If you are currently attending (or have attended) during the 2016-2017 academic year and would like to possibly receive aid you must complete your 2016-2017 FAFSA as soon as possible.

If one of your red flags is in regards to submitting tax return transcripts, please be advised that the IRS offers an on-demand PDF version that you can print directly from their web site (www.irs.gov). If you cannot access an online version for some reason you will have to wait for the transcript to be mailed to you, therefore you should return to your FAFSA and utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool or request a copy of your transcripts as soon as possible. Please note: the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IRS DRT) is currently unavailable. When completing the income information section(s) on your FAFSA you will need to manually input your 2015 tax information. If/when the IRS DRT becomes available again we will be sure to post a notice on our pages.

Need help completing your FAFSA? Visit any of our offices to receive hands-on assistance or view our  FAFSA tutorial videos here. Remember, even if you are only interested in scholarships and/or loans, you must renew your FAFSA as soon as possible. Act now!

If you receive assistance in the form of a check, please submit the check to the Cashier’s Office on the South, Central or North campuses. This applies to all checks, even those which may be the result of a scholarship award. Do not turn them into the Financial Aid Office, as we do not process checks. Doing so will delay your funding, tuition coverage etc.

*You must be currently enrolled or the Cashier’s Office will not accept the check.

**If your check will be sent directly to the College, please provide the sender the following address:

Broward College
North Campus Cashier's Office
1000 Coconut Creek Boulevard
Coconut Creek, FL 33066
