Workers Compensation

 

 

All employees are protected in the event of injury resulting from an accident while employed on BCC property.

Any employee is entitled to twelve (12) days per calendar year for Workers Compensation leave when he or she is absent from their duties resulting from personal injury or illness received in the performance of duty. This leave is not charged to the employee's accrued sick leave.

In the case of job related injury after all Workers Compensation has been exhausted, the employee is covered by all applicable provisions of the Workers Compensation laws of the State of Florida. Workers Compensation will pay all medical bills resulting from a job related injury and will pay 66 and 2/3% of the employee's salary after the waiting period by law.
