Administrative Salary Schedule

Annual Salary

Administrative salaries are determined following appropriate placement on the Administrative Pay Plan.

Salary supplements are not incentive awards and will not be incorporated into base salary for computations. All supplements are additions to the annual salary, and are not a part of the regular contract.

Daily Rate of Pay

The daily rate of pay for Administrators is determined by dividing the annual salary by 238. The number of duty days specified in the employment calendar is adopted annually by the Board of Trustees.

Extra Pay for Teaching

Administrators teaching classes for extra pay shall be paid according to the provisions of the salary schedule at the extra pay rate for full-time employees. The teaching of the instructional activity must be performed outside the employee’s normal workday. Administrators cannot be paid overload.

Salary Increases

Salary increases for Administrative employees may be recommended by the President to the Board of Trustees. Salary increases shall normally become effective at the beginning of the contract year – July 1. Any increases granted by the Board of Trustees may not place any employee’s salary above the maximum salary level for their pay grade.

Semi-Monthly Salary

The semimonthly salary for all employees on a 12-month calendar is determined by dividing the annual salary by 24. For those on shorter length contracts, the salary is divided by the appropriate number of pay periods.

Starting Salaries

In the employment of an Administrator, the minimum starting salary shall be determined by appropriate placement on the Administrative Pay Plan. All Administrators shall be placed on an annual contract of 238 duty days, unless specifically noted as different. In the event an employee in a continuing contract status accepts an administrative position, this person may be given administrative leave from the continuous service conditions by the Board of Trustees at the Board’s option.

Work Week / Work Day

All Administrative positions are established as a 37.5 hour work week on 7.5 hour work days. Administrators may not receive over-time pay.
