BCC Marine Engineering Students Win Medals
 | BCC students won second and third place in the advance division!
Sixteen BCC Marine Engineering students participated in the South Florida's 12th Annual Plywood Regatta, presented by the MIASF on April 19th and 20th, at the Dania Beach City Marina. $20,000 was raised for Broward County Schools' Marine Magnet Programs. There were 300 other student participants represented on 38 teams. |  |

Charles Harper, one of the marine engineering instructors remarked, "I am very proud of the students and the effort that they gave to represent BCC while having a great time." After talking over designs, erecting boats made of plywood and glue, and practicing for two weeks. "This is the first time that BCC has been involved with such an event that introduces young marine enthusiasts and the community to the craft of boat building and The Marine Industry."
