Career & Technical Education Job Developers/Placement Specialists are primarily responsible for assisting soon-to-be graduates and graduates of technical education programs find occupations directly related to their course of study.

 

Job Developers assist technical education students with:

  ♦  Interviewing skills

 

  ♦  Finding a job/internship directly related to your course of study

The EMPLOY FLORIDA MARKETPLACE is our primary online employment resource for students and local employers. EMPLOY FLORIDA links all of Florida’s employment services and is free for students and employers to use. Please visit EMPLOY FLORIDA for more information.


Job developers also work with local industry and community organizations to promote workforce development projects. In addition, job developers offer employer services, conduct employability skills workshops, plan and coordinate job fairs and on-campus recruitment, and coordinate with faculty and local employers to develop internships.
