Technology Refresh Plan:

The goal of the Technology Refresh Plan (TRP) is to keep technology reliable and functional, insuring that critical components of the College infrastructure are maintained in a proactive fashion. To reduce the funding requirements, all technology has been divided into two categories, proactive and reactive. Proactive equipment such as PC’s and Servers has recurring funding to allow for equipment to be replaced at the end of their initial warranty period (currently 3 years). Reactive equipment such as podiums and network equipment is replaced as equipment becomes problematic; a portion of the TRP funding is held in reserve to provide for quick repair or replacement. Funding for the TRP is to only be used to replace existing technology, for each item purchased a similar item is to be removed from the College inventory.
