Article from Grand Central (April 25, 2005) Article from The Sun Sentinel (September 4, 2005) EVENTS: January 5-6, 2007: The Sport Specific Training Conference and Exposition to be held in San Antonio, TX. This is one of 3 annual conferences conducted by the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Topics will include many training, nutrition, and injury prevention/treatment for football, baseball, and soccer.
March 1-3, 2007: The 4th Arnold Strength Training Summit to be held at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Strength Summit will include various lectures and demonstrations on training, teaching styles, nutrition, supplementation, as well as social issues in bodybuilding and strength sports. In addition to the Strength Summit is the even larger Arnold Fitness Weekend and Expo--with over 100,000 attendees each year. May 30-June 2, 2007: The American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting to be held in New Orleans, LA. This is the most comprehensive conference for clinical sports medicine and the exercise sciences. You can read about the meeting at the ACSM's website. If you are interested in joining the ACSM or would like more information on the conference, then contact Dr. Stanziano at dstanzia@broward.edu. He can sponsor membership to the ACSM and help you with the application process, which is very simple.
July 12-14, 2007: Atlanta, GA. The NSCA National Conference takes place every July and is the largest of the NSCA's conferences, drawing 2,000 delegates from around the world. Educational sessions provide information on a wide range of issues. All strength and conditioning professionals are sure to find something of interest to them during this major event.
