Health Care Career Core Courses - Post Secondary Adult Vocational Courses

The following Post Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) courses are scheduled through the Center For Health Science Education, Department of Continuing Education/Workforce Development. Each course may or may not have a prerequisite for course admission.

1. Health Care Career Core (HCP0130) - 75 Vocational Hours:


This course presents the basic knowledge and skills for students majoring in certain health science degree and certificate programs. The course introduces students to the healthcare delivery system, health occupations and teaches basic medical and employability skills. This course is a prerequisite for admission into the following health science programs:

 

Cardiovascular Technology
Massage Therapy
Medical Assistant
Nuclear Medicine Technology
Nursing Technology (Generic)
Ophthalmic Dispensing
Opticianry
Radiation Therapy Technology
Radiography (X-ray)
Dental Assistant
Respiratory Technician
