Health Science Continuing Education - Student Registration Information- Broward Community College

Attendance: To receive contact hours, participants MUST attend the entire offering. Late arrival or early departure will result in the loss of all hours/credit. NO PARTIAL HOURS/CREDIT is possible. If you mail-in a registration form, you should call the CE office at (954)201-6768 to confirm your registration.

 

Fees: Fees may vary according to the type of offering and contact hours of the class. Florida State Legislation mandates that those students who have NOT been a resident in the State of Florida for at least one (1) year, may have to pay out-of-state fees for certain courses. Residency is verified at the time of registration.

 

Registration Information: Registration for credit courses must be done in person at any BCC campus registration office. Mail-in registration is available for non-credit courses only. Fees are payable at the time of registration. Fee may be paid by check or credit card. The following forms may be printed and mailed back to:

Schedule/Room Changes: When registering by mail or in person, be sure the information on the registration form is current and correct. This is the resource we use to contact each student in the event a class is canceled or rescheduled. Changes in room assignment, as well as those marked "TBA" will be posted at the class location.

 

Certificates: A certificate will be given to all participants who have completed the course and registration requirements. The certificates will be given out by the faculty member at the end of the last class session. Be sure to get your certificate at the conclusion of the course. Participants must attend the entire offering. Partial hours/credit CAN NOT be given. Late arrival or early departure will result in the loss of all hours/credit.

Note: There is a $5.00 charge for duplicate certificates.

 

Canceled Classes: Broward Community College reserves the right to cancel any class which does not meet minimum enrollment requirements. If a class is canceled, all class fees will be fully refunded. Every effort is made to call all student enrolled in the class and inform them of the cancellation. In the event of weather emergencies, energy emergencies or other types of emergencies, every effort will be made to reschedule the class.

 

Refund Policy: A student may withdraw from a course and request a refund up to the day PRECEDING the scheduled offering. NO REFUND will be made after this deadline.

 

Emergency Weather Hotline: If severe weather occurs, classes may be canceled. To get current information, please call (954) 201-4900.

 

Brochure Mailing List: If you wish to be on our mailing list to receive the next CE brochure, call the CE office at (945) 201-6768. Brochures may be picked up at any college registration location. Individual brochures will not be mailed due to increase postal costs.

 

Miscellaneous Information: When attending CE classes, know or bring your professional license and social security numbers, bring a #2 pencil and a pen for signing the attendance sheet. A sweater may be needed for your comfort. If textbooks are required, they will be available at the bookstore located on the campus where the course is offered. Offerings listed in the brochure or flyers are subject to change.
