International Trade - Seaport Training Program
The opening of the Expanded Panama Canal on June 26 signals the beginning of the abundance of opportunities for entrepreneurship. The project offers owners of small businesses the opportunity to enhance their current operations through courses that will help them improve their operations and increase their profitability.

Import/Export Business - EDI 0463 15 hrs.
Ready to join the international trade community? Gain a firm foundation to start your business or career in import/export in this practical hands-on course. Learn the unique processes and terminology of the industry. This program provides a practical hands-on, comprehensive set of workshops concentrated on terminology, regulations, procedures, documentation, and more. Student must complete all assignments to receive certificate of completion. Workbook and accompanying resources provided.

Accounting - EDI 0426 15 hrs.
Learn the fundamentals of accounting and reinforce your understanding of the following important principles: accounting terminology, revenue, expenses, net income, the accounting equation, debits, credits, balancing the accounting formula, the accounting structure and cycle, journals, ledgers and more. Bookkeeping Certification - EDI 0800 60 hrs.
Learn the principles of bookkeeping. Acquire the practical knowledge necessary to set up and maintain bookkeeping records: analyzing and recording transactions, balance sheets, general entry, journals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and more. Call to register.

Business Writing and Communications - EDI 0658 12 hrs.
Become a more powerful, compelling communicator by eliminating embarrassing mistakes. Sharpen your business writing skills and master the art of communication, persuasion and negotiation.

Customer Services - EDI 0659 15 hrs.
Deliver the highest quality service! Course covers ways to control your emotions, how to handle difficult customer situations, and how to communicate with different types of customers. Call to register.

Income Tax Prep - Business - EDI 0494 15 hrs.
Learn to prepare federal income tax returns for businesses. This comprehensive program covers step-by-step how to prepare business income tax returns, understanding tax treatments and the significance as it applies to various business entities, understanding new and current tax laws. Open up the possibility of seasonal employment to earn extra income or start your tax preparation business. Call to register.
