WINGS - Women Investigating New Goals & Services

 

 

WINGS offers a comprehensive program of career assessment, employability and financial management skills to individuals who possesses barriers in obtaining and securing adequate employment​.

 
 

 Program Eligibility

  • 35 years of age or older
  • Worked providing unpaid household services for family members
  • Is not adequately employed (not earning self-sufficient wage)
  • Has had difficulty in securing adequate employment
  • Has been dependent on the income of another family member but is no longer supported by suchincome; or dependent on federal assistance​
Services​
  • Scholarship assistance
  • Information and referral to community services
  • Career exploration and assessment​
Scholarship Eligibility​
  • Meet program eligibility
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Must file for Financial Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need
  • Pursuing a degree taking a minimum of six credits or certificate program at Broward College​
