A Valuable Partnership with Honors Benefits
The Robert "Bob" Elmore Honors Institute is pleased to be partnering with Broward College's Baccalaureate programs to offer an Honors Certificate to outstanding Baccalaureate students. If you want to earn an Honors Certificate, use the
Baccalaureate Honors Application form and consult with your program advisor to ensure that you register for Honors sections of your classes.
Incoming Student Requirements: Students entering a Baccalaureate program with an Associates degree are eligible to apply to the Honors Institute with a minimum 3.5 GPA in lower division college coursework.
Students who are entering a Baccalaureate program without completing an Associated degree are eligible if they are within 9 credits of earning the Associates Degree and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in lower division college coursework.
To earn the Honors Certificate, every student in a Baccalaureate program must successfully complete three honors classes and receive the requisite honors credit. You must also complete an Honors section of the program's capstone course, publish an Honors Thesis, and maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA.
If you are already enrolled in a Baccalaureate Program and have a 3.5 GPA, you may be able to fulfill the Honors Certificate requirements by completing an Honors by Contract. Consult with your program advisor or campus Honors Coordinator.
