Adan Severino Enjoying Success
Former Seahawk helps earn berth to play in NCAA College World Series in the same week he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins
Coral Gables--Former BCC Seahawk Adan Severino has continued his successful baseball career at the University of Miami and has helped lead them to the NCAA College World Series.

The outfielder, who was part of the 2006 BCC NJCAA World Series team hopes to help lead the Hurricanes to their first championship since 2001. This is the 11th trip for the hurricanes
in the last 15 years under coach Jim Morris.

The advancement to the world series comes in the wake of Severino being selected in the MLB First-Year Player Draft on June 6.  Severino was selected in the 26th round by the Minnesota Twins as the 786th pick overall. He hit .317 with 46 hits in 51 games in his first season with Miami. He homered four times and drove in 21 runs.
