• Faster than average growth is projected statewide though 2006:
1. The US department of labor predicts that the number of working automotive bus and truck engine technicians will increase by 45,000 technicians from 2004 to 2014*
2. Specialized training has its rewards: The median pay for an automotive technician is approximately $30,000 / $34,000, and master technicians can earn as much as $70,000 to $100,000 per year.**
