You Gotta Regatta

"Don't Rock the Boat" takes on entirely new meaning when the boat you are rocking is one you have built! You Gotta Regatta is a build-your-own-boat program in which teams design, construct, and race their best possible boat design. Teams are given cardboard and other supplies, design requirements, and time limitations. Following construction of the boats and a presentation, teams must prove their design works in a performance stage in which they float and race their boats. Lifeguards are present during the performance stage, and all boat riders must wear life vests. You Gotta Regatta is a surprisingly complex construction event that requires skills such as creativity, time management, strategic use of materials, self-sacrifice, and a great sense of humor.

You Gotta Regatta can be conducted at a pool, beach, or lake, or at the Tigertail Lake facility, and can accommodate groups of 10 to 200. This program is recommended for teams who: enjoy creativity and design; are looking for something a bit different; wish to enhance a retreat, conference, or company picnic; or want impressive photos to take back to the office.
