Progressive Care Course: Modular Format


Lectures are Progressive Care Specific – 92 hours

  • Pre-requisite: Basic Arrhythmia Course or CLEP
  • Modular Format: Includes online theory (ECCO), lecture and simulation
  • Enrollment into AACN – Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) for 1 year!
    • Full access available
    • Selected modules required for course
  • Simulation includes:
    • ACS, Stroke Assessment, Rapid Response Case Scenarios, Defibrillation, Temporary Pacemakers and Code Blue Management Day
  • Benefits:
  • Modular Format (3 Modules)
  • Lectures are Progressive Care Specific
  • Determined by Advisory Committee of Progressive Care Managers and Clinicians
  • Class days are spread out over four (4) months
  • Sign-up for each module separately.
  • Sign-up may be done out of sequence, i.e. may start with Module 2 or 3 first
  • A certificate of completion is issued after completion of each module
  • A Progressive Care Course Certificate is issued upon completion of all three (3) modules.
  • Course Dates:
    • Module 1 – Cardiac and Pulmonary
      • August 11 through September 24th, 2009
    • Module 2 – Metabolic, Renal, Hematology, GI and Sepsis
      • October 6 through November 5th, 2009
    • Module 3 – Neurologic Disorders
      • November 10th and 12th, 2009
