Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (April 24, 2018) – Broward College has proposed a change to its out-of-state tuition fees. The proposed increase will be $15.00 per credit for out-of-state fees, while all other out-of-state charges remain the same. Florida Statute 1009.23(3) & (4) grants authority to Florida College System institutional board of trustees to establish out-of-state fees. The proposed increase of $15.00 per credit is within the range allowed per statute.
The funds collected from this increase will be used to support student success initiatives related to retention and completion.
The proposed change is expected to be approved at the May 22, meeting of the Board of Trustees. Once finalized, the increase will take effect for the 2018-2019 academic year.
