SYLLABUS/PREVIEW PAGE/ORIENTATION TEMPLATES

If you are developing and/or teaching blended or fully online courses, please use the current BC Course Syllabus template, which includes the new attendance policy, the current Course Preview Page template, and the Student Orientation Templates. Here is how you can obtain and edit each template for your course:

Put your cursor on either template link, right click, and "Save Target As ..." to save the template (.html file) to your computer. Use any html/web page editor or the HTML Editor within your Blackboard course to edit it.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

This document serves to provide e-Learning faculty with guidelines and strategies to promote academic integrity in online classes. More specifically, general guidelines to prevent and curb cheating in the online learning environment are presented. Specific strategies to thwart cheating on written work and high-stake assessments are also provided.

TURNITIN
Turitin defines itself as "a proprietary system that instantly identifies papers containing unoriginal material and acts as a powerful deterrent to stop student plagiarism before it starts."

USING OFFICE 2003 - 2007
Microsoft has new file formats for Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007.  If you are using Office 2003, you can still view Office 2007 files, but you must download and install the http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101686761033.aspx. If you do have Office 2007, this is not necessary.
