Microsoft Office 2007 is here

All Broward Community College workstation computers will have Microsoft Office 2007 installed to replace Microsoft Office 2003 by December 18, 2008. Training opportunities for Office 2007 include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Attend one or more of the three training options listed below to be ready for this new completely redesigned version. Learn what a "Ribbon" is, how the Office Menu works and how you can design the look to the way you work with these tools.

Upon completion of training, send an email to the Helpdesk requesting installation of Office 2007 Suite.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access 2007 workshops will continue to be scheduled each term for those needing training.

Three training options are available:


Option #1- Register for a face-to-face 2.5-hour workshop to get an overview of “what’s new” in Word, Excel & PowerPoint 2007.  (A similar Fall schedule will be published by Aug 18th).

Option #2 - Register for a 3-hour online workshop in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

Employees enrolled in the online workshops will need access to Microsoft 2007 for training.  

For option #1 or # 2, use the link below to browse/register for workshops:

Option #3 – Complete Microsoft Online Office 2007 Self Pace Tutorials (links below)          

If you choose this option and want Professional Development credit, complete the “Test Yourself” at the end of each section (print out the test beforeyou click “Next” to continue the lesson) and forward the test to the office of HR-Professional Development & Training, Building 31, Sixth floor, WHC.
