Employee Relations provides assistance to all
departments to ensure all faculty, staff, students and applicants
without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin,
martial status, disability, sexual orientation or veteran status,
are guaranteed equal opportunity and advancement, as well as participation
in programs and activities in accordance with applicable laws. This
Office is responsible for overall compliance, developing and administering
programs, policies, and procedures in an effort to create and maintain
an organizational climate that fosters and recognizes the contributions
of employees in support of the college's mission.
The
Office is responsible for processing complaints and investigations,
counseling employees, advising supervisors and managers, promoting
diversity initiatives, resolving sexual harassment issues and concerns.
Other responsibilities include providing Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA) accommodations, EEO statistics/surveys, policy review,
training, legal information and assistance with personnel matters.
