The EMT and Paramedic training provides on opportunity for students to integrate theory with practice. Students must complete hospital and field practicum's during their training. The practicum's provide the student with the opportunity to apply concepts, skills, and knowledge learned in the class room and lab settings. Students are expected to completed a variety of tasks during their respective hospital and field practicum.
Students are exposed to and trained in a simulated clinical and field environments via the EMS programs' simulator's. This allows the faculty to focus the students' actions while reducing the anxiety of providing treatment in a new setting or for the first time.
Students are paired with faculty instructors and preceptors during each and every practicum.
