As EMT's and Paramedics, graduates of Broward College's program find career opportunities in a variety of areas, such as:
- Private ambulance companies
- Fire-rescue agencies
- Fire departments
- Public safety/police departments
In addition, graduates of our Paramedic certificate program have extended their scope of practice to work in a variety of settings, including:
hospital emergency/trauma departments
- Primary care clinics
- Industrial settings
- Aero-medical transport agencies
Expanding your education provides a great opportunity to keep your career moving. Paramedic students are strongly encouraged to complete the Associate in Science Degree in EMS. Paramedics who graduate from Broward College with a degree are automatically admitted to any State of Florida Public University. This can lead to completion of a bachelors degree, nursing school, Physician Assistance school, Law school, or even Medical School. Finally, many paramedics go to graduate school to learn more about educational theory, management, and risk mitigation.
