Welcome and Introductions
The meeting was called to order at 1:20pm by Judy Davidoff. Present were Sharon Stern, Jackie Loftus, Shirley Boudousquie, Jerry Enloe, Janice D'Andrea, Judy Davidoff, and Beverly Walker.
II.
Treasurer's Report
Sharon reported that we have $4,242.86 in SPD and $4,982.56 in the regular account. We made about $1,000 on the flower sale.
III.
SeaEscape
The SeaEscape cruise will be held on June 18. FACC members and non-BCC guests - $25. Non-members - $30. New members that sign up will receive the members' rate. The campus V.P's will get in touch with the provost to get it on their calendar and ask them to promote the event. Sharon will get brochures from SeaEscape.

IV.
By-Laws
Judy received the most recent copy of the by-laws from Suzanne Nicolini. They were revised in 2000 and are supposed to be revised every year.

V.
Region V Conference
Fifty-one people have registered so far, mostly from BCC. Judy will send an email to Dr. Calderon reminding him of the conference and inviting him to stay for lunch. Sharon will pick up bagels for breakfast. Judy will get cream cheese and food for the Thursday night social event at Costco. Sharon and Jackie will do the 50/50 raffle. Janice and Suzanne will handle registration. We will raffle off a palm pilot. Members will be asked to wear any FACC shirts that they have. Sharon suggested that we give a prize to the person with the oldest shirt. Vita Italian Restaurant will cater the lunch for $6.99/person. Sharon suggested some type of ice cream dessert at the end of the day.
VI.
PTS Retreat
We will provide breakfast for the PTS Retreat on May 19 at Central Campus.
VII.

Membership
We have 12 new members since January. We now have 332, which includes inactive members. There was discussion about ways to increase membership and how to keep members after they join. A recommendation was made that we pay for all new employees for the first year. Sharon suggested that we ask FACC to accept $10 for the first year and then get people to sign up for payroll deduction. We will ask Jeff Peters next week at the conference.

VIII.

Service Projects
Jerry suggested that we have identical containers with the FACC logo to use for different types of collections (toys, food drive, etc) that could be moved to different areas of campus. It would help to show that FACC is involved in the life of the college.

IX.
Adjournment
The next meeting will be held May 5. We will be discussing goals. We will invite Dr. Calderon, the provosts, and Barbara Pippin to a future meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 pm.
