Course Description:

This course is designed to free the actor's natural voice.  By studying how the voice works we will work to free, develop and strengthen each student's instrument so that they may effectively use the voice in stage work.  Students will learn the International Phonetic Alphabet, which is needed in order to study and perform dialects.  All skills will be learned and then perfected through guided exercises, supervised practice drills, audio/visual aids, and observation of native speakers.
