New and Prospective Students - Advisement and Orientation

Step 4

  1. Once you have taken the placement test (or taken the SAT/ACT in high school), attend a campus orientation/group advisement session (Transfer students must bring their college transcripts) or take Cyber Orientation.

  2. In an advisement and/or orientation session we will:
    1. Review your placement level in English, reading and algebra
    2. Discuss your goals and program of study
    3. Help you select courses for the upcoming term
    4. Show you how to register on-line
    5. Teach you strategies for success at Broward College.
    6. Inform you about all the services, resources, and activities on campus
    7. Outline your responsibilities for adhering to Broward College's policies/procedures
