New and Prospective Students - Advisement and Orientation

New/Prospective Students

Step 4

Once you have taken the placement test (or taken the SAT/ACT in high school), attend a campus orientation/group advisement session (Transfer students must bring their college transcripts).

In an advisement session we will:

Review your placement level in English, reading and algebra
Discuss your goals and program of study
Help you select courses for the upcoming term

In an orientation session we will:

Show you how to register on-line
Teach you strategies for success at Broward College.
Inform you about all the services, resources, and activities on campus
Outline your responsibilities for adhering to Broward College's policies/procedures
