Health Science Admissions

Broward College (BC) offers 27 accredited health science programs for individuals wishing to become healthcare professionals and for those who are health professionals seeking professional growth and development.

 

First, Apply to BCC

  1. If you are not currently a BC student, you must apply to Broward College at www.FACTS.org.
  2. Many of the Health Science programs have specific prerequisite requirements which must be completed with a grade of “C” or above prior to submitting the application. 
  3. The prerequisites and admissions criteria for each program are listed in the Health Science Program Prerequisite form provided below.
  4. Meeting the minimum admission requirements for a program guarantees consideration for a seat in the upcoming class, but does not guarantee acceptance into a program.

Then, Apply the Health Sciences

  1. Once you have completed your admission application, submit your application to the Health Science Admissions Office at any one of the campus locations indicated on the application.  Program pre-requisites must be completed prior to submitting the application.  (A complete list of programs and their respective pre-requisites are available below).
  2. Request that your official college transcripts from other institutions you have attended be sent to: College Registrar's Office, 225 East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, and FL 33301.
  3. Applications will not be reviewed by the Admissions Office until official transcripts have been received and evaluated to determine that required program pre-requisites are complete.
  4. Students with courses taken at universities outside of the United States must have their transcripts officially translated into English and commercially evaluated prior to submitting the application.

  • Applicants to EMS programs are required to submit the following forms with their applications.

For all other Health Science programs, students will be required to submit these forms after being accepted.

The college reserves the right to change any of the rules and regulations of the Health Science Departments at any time, including those related to admission, instruction, and graduation. All such changes are effective at such time as the proper authorities determine, and may apply not only to prospective students, but also to those who already are enrolled in a Health Science Program. All enrolled students will be notified in writing of such changes as they occur.
