Honors students Natalie Duran and Jonathan Calhieros,
members of Dr. Daryl Miller's Honors Biology class on South
Campus during Term 20051, made a presentation on their
class' annual fundraising project at the 2005 Florida Collegiate
Honors Conference, held at the University of Florida on
February 18-20, 2005. Each year since Dr. Miller began
the project, her Honors Biology class
has raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,
also participating in the organization's "Light the Night
Walk" and organizing a campus cancer luncheon. Their efforts
have netted thousands of dollars for the support of Leukemia
and Lymphoma research.
