Accomplishments: Teacher at BC for 3 years. Since I am still relatively new to BC, I don't have too many awards. One recent accomplishment of mine was completing my Ph.D. in Sociology. I want all my students to know that if I can do it, anyone can!
I teach these Honors Courses: IDH 2121 Other courses: SYG 2000, SYG 2010,
SYG 2340
Interests: Most of my recreational interests involve being outside. I love to cycle, jog, and work around my house. My wife and I also enjoy the culinary diversity of South Florida.
Teaching Philosophy: What excites me most about teaching is watching students’ excitement when they finally grasp the sociological imagination.
Inspiration: I'm a closeted Grateful Dead Head. There is a verse in a song called "Scarlet Begonias," by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, that has always inspired me: "Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right."
