Accomplishments:Who’s Who in American Art, 2008-9; the Florida Achievement Award in the Arts, Women's Caucus for Art Florida Chapter, 2007-8; the Southeastern Art Conference Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award, University of Arkansas at Little Rock 2005; Broward County's Women's Hall of Fame Outstanding Achievement in the Arts, 1994; and the Individual Artist Fellowship, State of Florida, Florida Arts Council.

Teaching Philosophy: To see my students become skilled as visual artists in my studio classes, or in art history classes- learning how to research and discover historical art movements.
Inspiration: Art works by many modern artists, such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Remedios Varo, Frida Kahlo, Christo and Jeanne Claude and many more..., I would be much happier if everyone could fill out individualized pages, rather than the plug in version such as this one. Perhaps those of us who want to, could be given word count limit, but be allowed to produce more unique faculty pages. |
