| At
43 years of age, Vicki Rosenthal is pursuing her life-long
dreams. Because of her
deep interest in people, Ms. Rosenthal is working toward
a master’s degree in social work. Using different techniques
and therapies, she is hoping to utilize her talents and interests
to help others achieve serenity, confidence and self-worth.
She believes that the Fine Arts Department at
BC is the next stepping-stone in her pursuit of a career
in social work that will enable her to incorporate art
therapy. Art therapy is a tool used to give a person the
power of creating which allows for healing and growth.
Another interest of hers is sports, as she feels
that a healthy body and mind is the core of a fulfilling
life.
As she continues the journey in social work studies, she
is also working toward a minor in French. The French language
is used extensively in our large South Florida Haitian
communities, in addition to the many French-speaking countries
worldwide; her knowledge in French will open up doors to
her international interests: Peace-keeping Operations and
Humanitarian Affairs.
