Child Care: The 40-Hour Child Care Certification required for basic Child Care employment in Florida, consists of the 30 Hour Intro to Child Care + Behavioral Observation & Screening (for Child Care Facilities) and a choice of one of two additional 10-hour courses, Infant/Toddler or Preschool. This training provides the basic, fundamental knowledge necessary to assure that no harm comes to the children while they are in care. The training also strives to upgrade the quality of the child care experience for both the caregiver and the children. Classes are also available in Spanish. Important:  The State requires a Social Security or Florida ID number to register. If you do not have a Social Security number, please contact the Child Care Training Information Center at 1-888-352-2842.
