These English Language courses are for the non-native English speaker. The students will learn how to survive and thrive in everyday life in an English speaking country. Skill development includes conversation, fluency, articulation, grammar, reading, writing and critical thinking skills in English. Evening and daytime courses are available.   Content emphasizes basic structure and grammar. 

 

If any textbooks are required or suggested for any of the courses listed in this section, the instructor will notify the students during the first class. The books can be purchased at campus bookstores.

Language Boutique is a new concept  in personalized teaching. The classes will consist of a maximum of 5 students. The 5 student environment, with an extended interactive methodology, will instill a sense of confidence in the students. This course is geared to the students who wish to work, or are working in a professional business environment. The first part of the course consists of basic English language skills, for example vocabulary, grammar and speech fluency. This course is designed for students with ZERO knowledge of English. It starts with the simple ABC’s in a 1-2-3 (See it-Say it–Use it) Step-By-Step technique. Online English for Non-Native Professionals is a three general level skill course for speakers of other languages with a thoughtful, balanced approach to English learning. It incorporates the best of both traditional and holistic practices. It covers all of the language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), as well as grammar and vocabulary.  The program takes the form of an adventure game, allowing students to work at their own pace and move freely in an interactive environment. It is a comprehensive English learning program that combines Internet multimedia technology with the latest teaching methods to provide courses, activities and options that ensure positive English learning success. We will be providing multiple options for covering the material to account for individual differences and styles, including: directive learning (through set lessons), selective learning (through choice of different language skills) and exploratory non-directive learning (through use of English in a game situation).  Students will be placed according their assessment test result. The principal levels are:   Basic I, Basic II, Basic II: Intermediate I, II, III: Advanced I, II, III.
