Project RENEW (Refugees Entering New Enterprises and Workforce) is a comprehensive program which provides English for Speakers of Other Languages, employability skills, job readiness training, and Continuing Education -Vocational training for refugees, political asylees, victims of human trafficking , and Amerasians living in Broward County.

Since its inception, the RENEW program has grown exponentially. We've serviced students from Cuba, Haiti, Liberia, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Honduras, Russia, Ukraine, Burma, Iraq, China, and Iran.

RENEW also provides : Educational and employability assessment, advisement, referrals to other service agencies, , assistance with diploma and degree evaluation, transportation assistance, and career counseling which prepares students to make effective career choices.

Project RENEW operates as a component of the Institute for Economic Development at Broward College and is funded by the US Department of Health and Human Resources, Office of Refugee Resettlement and administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
