A Program for Teenage Girls Ages 13 - 17
Just as Women Investigating New Goals and Services (WINGS) helps adult women find the confidence and skills to enter the workforce and become masters of their lives and livelihoods, the Girls Can program is a springboard for developing independence and self-discovery among teenage girls.
The program helps teen girls believe in themselves, cultivate valuable skills, and make good choices that can lead them to fulfilling lives as healthy, well-adjusted adults. Our comprehensive program will focus on building self-esteem, assessing interests and values, creating career and educational goals, and dealing with issues of psychosocial problems.
The Girls Can program offers a free six-week workshop of personal development, academic success skills, and career focus for adolescent girls, ages 13 to 17.
Topics include:
- Self-esteem
- Self-image
- Communication skills
- Healthy relationships
- Assertiveness techniques
- Assessment of interests and personality type
- Student success skills
- Ropes Challenge Program
Classes are six consecutive Saturday's from 9 am to 2 pm. Registration is required by calling (954) 201-2398.
