The Greene International Education Institute, Broward College has been offering international education programming since 1974. Named after William "Bill" Greene--an international education advocate and innovator at Broward College-- the Greene International Education Institute has become a leader in the field of international education.  We hosts F-1 and M-1 visa international students from nearly 150 different countries, lead both long and short-term study abroad programming, offer our degree programs at our various overseas international centers and affiliates, and offer training and consultation services around the globe.

We are proud of our student diversity and strive to enhance it by extending financial assistance to international students and students seeking to enrich their academic experience by embarking on study abroad academic programs.

Florida Linkage Institutes

​Florida Statute 288.9175 establishes Linkage Institutes between postsecondary institutions in the state of Florida and foreign countries. 

The primary purpose of these institutes is to assist in the development of stronger economic, cultural, educational, and social ties between this state and strategic foreign countries through the promotion of expanded public and private dialogue on cooperative research and technical acceptance activities, increased bilateral commerce, student and faculty exchange, cultural exchange, and enhancement of language training skills between the postsecondary institutions in this state and those of selected foreign countries. The Florida Linkage Institutes provide in-state tuition waivers to students from specific foreign countries who meet certain requirements. 
The Florida-Israel Institute (FII) is a Florida Linkage Institute that is administered jointly by Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and Broward College (BC). Its primary purpose is to promote the development of enhanced governmental, economic, technological, cultural, educational and social ties between the State of Florida and the State of Israel. The Institute acts as a facilitator forging collaborative efforts between Israel’s world renowned academic institutions andIsrael’s highly innovative hi-tech industry with Florida’s higher-education institutions and Florida industry in areas essential to both states.
