ETAC had over forty years of experience as a four-year degree granting university before forming an affiliation with Broward College. It offers programs leading to two and four year degrees and graduate degrees in a variety of fields.  ETAC has over 9000 students in four major campuses throughout the state of Mexico, just north of the Federal District of Mexico City.
In 2009, they hope to begin offering the BC program of study leading to the AA degree.

Major expansion plans are underway to dramatically increase their enrollment by spreading to other regions of Mexico through a merger with the University of Grijalva Valley (UVG) in Chiapas.  The new Consortium which has been formed between ETAC and UVG is now entitled: EDUCAREInternational Education Network.
