Spain Page

Broward College has offered college courses at the International College of Seville, Spain (formerly the Institute for International Studies) in Seville, since 1979.  Broward and ICS recently celebrated our 30th anniversary in Seville (1979-2009). In this period, over 6500 students have enrolled for fall, spring or summer terms of study. This program is the host institution for our study abroad program offered in conjunction with the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS) and St. Bonaventure University in New York State.

Students may enroll in this program for a full semester of studies in the fall or spring terms, or for a five-week program in the summers.   Courses are available in English and Spanish.  All students must take a course in Spanish language and register for 12-18 credits in the semester program or 6-8 credits in the summer program.  Students who are fluent in Spanish may enroll directly into the University of Seville which also issues transcripts of coursework taken in Spanish. Others who take courses at ICS will receive transcripts from this institution, unless they register at their home institution.

Students may live with a Spanish family or in a private residence with other students.  Meals, laundry, cell phones, excursions, insurance, tutoring services, and much more are all included in the price.
