Daryl created a WebCT enhancement component to support
General Biology BSC 1005. She incorporated announcements, assessments, assignments, calendar, mail, syllabus, and web links tools.

Deborah has created a WebCT enhanced component for the on-campus Health Alterations I NUR 1220 sections. This enhancement component will include the syllabus tool, content modules for case studies, study questions, practice quizzes, web links, PowerPoint presentations, a reading list, and a course calendar.

Brickman Just the Facts: Digging for Information
Rosa created an animated PowerPoint bibliographical instructional presentation for library databases. The presentation focuses on database access and retrieval for BC students and faculty to support English Composition I ENC 1101.

Mike created a series of ten podcasts to support Composition II ENC 1102 and American Literature AML 2020. The podcasts include poetry and other literary readings to support student understanding of creative works.

Health and Wellness Through Video Podcasting
Sharon created eight video podcasts demonstrating proper techniques for physical activity and assessments to support Introduction to Healthful Living HSC 1101C. Sharon will upload the podcasts onto the podcast server to make them available to students via a podcast aggregator.

Capture It! Creating Tutorials Using Camtasia, Soft Chalk and Snagit!
Suzanne used Camtasia, Soft Chalk, and SnagIT! Software to create digital tutorials to support Document Design OST 2825C, Desktop Publishing OST 2811C, Web Programming GRA 1721C, and Document Design OST 2825C. Suzanne exported video and audio files to WebCT. She also created podcasts, learning objects, as well as a spreadsheet application for use in PDAs. The tutorials cover the following units:
Exporting INDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator documents as .PDF files, changing Explorer to show file extension and full pathnames in title bars; creating directories for file storage; copying files from network, hard drive, and flash drives; using “zip” and “unzip” utilities; and uploading/submitting files in WebCT.

David created course materials that capture oral lectures and PowerPoint presentations on-screen using Camtasia Studio screen-capture software for Business Law BUL 2241 to support units including...
“Classes of Contracts,” “Termination of Offers”,

“Multiple Ownership,” and “Bailments”.

Course support videos are uploaded to the streaming video server and made available to students via WebCT.

Dugan Mathematics Pep And Prep!
Mitzi developed faculty web page to support Elementary Algebra MAT 0024 and Intermediate Algebra MAT 1033. The elementary and Intermediate Algebra web pages include syllabi, links to “My Math Lab” and the course texts. She has also developed an additional faculty web page to support her Learning Communities Academy. The Learning Communities Academy web page will include mission and purpose statements, contact information, a staff page link.

Gloria created a WebCT enhancement component to support Advanced General Psychology PSY 2043. She incorporated WebCT’s e-mail feature, discussion topics, a chatroom, and content modules.

Pat updated and remodeled her current faculty web page by refreshing and changing links, updating digital images, incorporating information pertaining to current texts, and links to textbook sites to support College Prepatory Writing Skills I ENC 0010 and Composition II ENC 1102.

Frank created a WebCT enhancement component for ESL Grammar/Writing III EAP 0385C. He incorporated a syllabus, discussion topics, use of WebCT e-mail, a calendar, and chatrooms.

Sonia researched outside exemplary web sites to incorporate appropriate design elements into revamping her department’s web site. She also upgraded and uploaded links, and collected and created images and videos of the department faculty to include on the web site. Using Dreamweaver, she created a departmental orientation module for adjunct faculty as well as a template for the department.

Renata created a WebCT Enhancement component to support Advanced ESL Composition I EAP 1540c and Advanced ESL Composition II EAP 1640C ESL. The enhancement components included syllabi, class notes, readings, lab assignments, and links to MLA resources.

Plakcy Creating Dynamic PowerPoint Presentations
Lourdes incorporated graphics, sound and video into a series of PowerPoint presentations. To create the graphics, Lourdes scanned and manipulated images using Photoshop. She edited move clips using Windows MovieMaker. She also incorporated web links and online video clips into the PowerPoint presentations as well as Audacity to edit sound clips. She then loaded the clips into her PowerPoint presentations to support College Prep Writing II ENC 0021.

Plakcy Becoming a 21st Century Educator
Using Microsoft Excel, Kelli created and manages a gradebook and also created charts and graphs for use in Elementary Algebra MAT 0024. She also learned to manage files and folders in Groupwise and store files using the BC Net Storage utility. She created materials for classroom use using Microsoft Word and developed a basic WebCT enhancement component for MAT 0024.

Derek created a series of virtual lectures to support
Microbiology MCB 2010. These virtual lectures address the topics of viral replication, microbial metabolism and biotechnology, which are traditionally highly challenging topics for students to grasp.

Monica designed a basic faculty web page to support Introduction to Anthropology ANT 2000. She incorporated a professional profile, course descriptions, syllabi, written assignments, reading assignments and digital images. She will also include links to anthropology, archaeology, educational assessments, and “latest” discoveries web sites.

Linda developed a WebCT component to enhance Pediatric Nursing NUR 1310. She will stream video from the WebCT component as well as develop an online testing module and PowerPoint presentations for the course enhancement. Using cascading style sheets created using Dreamweaver, George created and integrated course modules into a single WebCT course site to support Web Authoring HTML I EDC 0958 and Web Authoring HTML II EDC 0959 to create a user-friendly WebCT course “shell” for both courses.
