Technology Mentor Project - PD Credit Guidelines
How
do mentees apply for professional development
credit as they complete their Faculty Technology
Mentor project? Simple! Just follow
these guidelines and use the linked forms in
guidelines 1 and 2.
1.
Faculty mentees requesting professional
development credit will complete the
Application
and Completion Form for Faculty Professional
Development.
2.
Faculty mentee attaches
documentation
of clock hours documenting participation
in the project as follows:
a.
Campus project meetings and orientations, working
sessions with the mentor and time spent in structured
activities that involve the mentor and/or Faculty
Technology Mentor project staff will be logged.
b. The mentor will initial time and dates
on the hour documentation form to verify structured
meetings/activities involving the mentor working
with the mentee.
3.
The Application, documentation of hours
and the technology project(s) are forwarded
as follows for review and approval:
a.
Faculty member's supervisor/department head
b. Campus Academic Dean
c. VPAA
4.
Up to 45 professional development clock
hours within a professional development recertification
cycle may be earned through participation in
such project.
5.
Mentees must have completed all project goals,
including the development of a project, in order
to be considered for professional development
credit
