theme provides a good technological foundation
for Faculty who wish to effectively use
technology in the classroom to improve student
learning. Faculty completing professional
development opportunities in this theme
will be able to:
1)
develop and use Powerpoint presentations;
2) use student email as an instructional
strategy;
3) utilize the Internet as a teaching
and learning resource;
4) develop engaging student Internet research
assignments;
5) identify and develop teaching strategies
appropriate for students with differing
learning styles;
6) develop a basic faculty web site;
7) acquire images, audio and video files
for use in a Powerpoint presentation or
on a web site;
8) demonstrate a basic understanding of
e-learning course development options
and instructional design for technology;
and
9) apply copyright and intellectual property
laws and guidelines to teaching and learning.
