LAMBDA EPSILON CHI (LEX)
Broward College is an institutional member of the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE). AAfPE has established a national honor society in paralegal/legal assistant studies: Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX). Broward College has a chapter of LEX.
According to the National Charter of Lambda Epsilon Chi: “The purpose of LEX is to recognize persons who have demonstrated superior academic performance in an established program of paralegal/legal assistant studies offered at an institution that is an Institutional member in good standing of the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE).”
Broward College inducts members into LEX twice a year: at the end of the fall semester and at the end of the winter semester. A student is eligible for induction if s/he has completed at least two-thirds of the program requirements and has a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in all course work.
