What is the LINK to FAU Program?

The LINK program is a wonderful opportunity for you to continue your college education and receive your bachelor's degree from FAU upon completion of your Associate's degree. Students of Broward College will have exclusive access to FAU. This initiative was developed to provide you with guaranteed access to FAU*. As a student of one of FAU's partner colleges we want you to have the easiest transition to FAU to earn your bachelor's degree.

How Do I Join?


State College Students – You can indicate your desire to join the Link Program at any time before successfully reaching 30 transferable credits. Complete the Intent to Enroll form and submit the form to a Broward College Admissions Office.

High School Students – If you are a high school student and wish to earn your associate's degree from Broward College, apply to Broward College and complete the required steps for Link to FAU.

How is the Link to FAU different from the 2+2?
  • The 2+2 guarantees admission to one of the 11 state universities and not necessarily to one of your choice.
  • Once you have indicated your participation in the program, your college and FAU work together to prepare you for completion of your Associate's degree and your bachelor's degree.
How do I sign up to participate in the Link to FAU?
  • You must apply and be accepted to Broward College. For their admission information please visit: Broward College Admissions.
  • Complete the Intent to Enroll form and submit it to any Broward College Admissions Office.
  • Submit the online application to FAU after completing 30 credits at Broward College.
  • Provide official transcripts from any other schools you have attended to your selected college and FAU as well as any other required documents. Be sure one of your official transcripts reflects that you've completed an AA degree or an AS degree that specifically articulates with FAU.
  • Meet with an advisor before initial registration and at regular intervals to maintain an appropriate academic plan. For the advising services please visit: Broward College Advising.
    • At 15 hours, meet with your college advisor.
    • At 30 hours, meet with your college advisor and FAU advisors.
    • At 45 hours, meet with your college advisor and FAU advisors and confirm status with FAU.
  • Maintain continuous enrollment. Continuous enrollment is defined as being enrolled in classes without a break of two or more consecutive regular semesters/terms.
  • Complete your degree in six major semesters or less including prerequisite courses required for your intended major at FAU.
  • Apply for graduation from your College by the published deadline in the term you will complete your requirements. Be sure to send to FAU an official transcript verifying completion of your degree, either an Associate in Arts or an Associate of Science in a program which specifically articulates to FAU.
  • Verify your acceptance to FAU.

* Consistent with university policy. Limited access and restricted access programs may require an additional admission process.
