CRW2006 Advanced Creative Writing Workshop
Credit Hours: 3
Catalogue Course Description:
Co-requisite: None
A continuing development of creative writing ability. Students may work on independent writing projects. Prerequisite: CRW2002 or by instructor's approval. Directed independent study.
Although not limited to students who have had an introductory creative writing course, CRW2006 students should be experienced beyond the beginner's stage. Drawing students from a wide spectrum of writing interests and diverse educational and work experiences, CRW2006 offers an opportunity all writers crave—feedback from readers. Class members discuss the concept and execution of each other's writing efforts. Constructive criticism is a hallmark of the course. One student's parting comment may aptly describe the Writing Workshop: “I'm not sure if I just took a creative writing course or a group therapy seminar. But whatever it was, I'm glad I did it.”
Students who want to take the course for a second time may enroll in CRW2008. |
