The BCC Learning
Resources is located on the second floor of the library building. Learning
Resources helps BCC students achieve college success by providing them
with appropriate resources and assistance designed to meet their needs.
Through the LRC, BCC students are provided with opportunities to reinforce
course concepts and skills, reinforce and supplement classroom instruction,
and improve learning efficiency and effectiveness |

The Main Lab BCC students may use the lab for any
school-related work. The lab offers Internet access, Microsoft Office Professional
(including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), as well as a great deal
of academic software. Students may use a limited number of zip drives, scanners,
and laser printer. Accounting tutors are available for
small groups or individuals. Accounting software is available in the main
lab area. |
The Writing Lab supports the
development of student writing skills by providing individualized writing
help and opportunities for grammar improvement. BCC students can receive
help with writing assignments including writing paragraphs and essays, research
papers, thesis development, organization and outlining. Faculty tutors are

The Math Lab has tutors available
for BCC students enrolled in pre-algebra, beginning algebra, intermediate
algebra, statistics, and liberal arts math I, pre-calculus and trigonometry. |
The Reading Lab primarily offers help to students taking developmental reading classes.
The lab supplements class work with materials both printed and computerized
and offers students the opportunity to increase their reading levels and
improve their comprehension. |
The ESL Lab uses a variety of learning resources that are both printed and computerized
for the students to enhance the knowledge that they gain in the classroom.
The programs allow the students to interact with the computer and improve
pronunciation and comprehension. |
