ACADEMIC PROGRAMS IN MUSIC

Broward Community College offers two-year Associate of Arts degrees in Music Performance, Music Education, and Music Technology. Courses offered include Music History and Appreciation, Music Theory, Sightsinging and Ear Training, Computer Music, Introduction to Recording, and Conducting.

Performing ensembles include the BCC Symphony Orchestra, the Symphonic Band, several Jazz Ensembles and Jazz Combos, Opera Workshop, College Singers, Seahawk Singers, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, and various other chamber groups. Applied lessons are offered in voice, keyboards, and all band and orchestral instruments.
