SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Thanks to a large scholarship endowment fund, the Visual & Performing
Arts Department offers numerous talent-based scholarships and service
awards for both incoming and returning students. Awards are made
based on audition or portfolio evaluation. Many scholarships cover
full tuition and fees.
Music
Music auditions are held two to three times a year in spring and
early summer. Please call 475-6840 for dates and further information.
Students should prepare two contrasting selections which best
demonstrate their musical talent. An accompanist is provided,
though students may bring their own accompanist if desired. Call
475-6840 to schedule an audition time.
It is recommended that students seek the assistance of a music
teacher in deciding what repertoire to choose for their audition.
Dance and Theatre
Dance and Theatre audtions are held once in the spring; call 475-6843
for requirements and further information.
Art
A few art scholarships are available for select students. These
scholarships are usually awarded to second year students. Portfolios
are evaluated on request; call 475-6517 for more information.
Student Worker Positions
The Department hires a number of students as studio assistants,
lab monitors, and student workers. Contact the department at 475-6840
to learn of any vacancies.
