Achieve a minimum combined SAT score of 1000.

Test (Alternative exemptions can-not be substituted).

EME 2040 Introduction to Education Technology
Students will develop skills and competencieswhich
are essential to integrate technologyinto the delivery
of classroom instruction.Students will survey a variety
of traditional and emerging technological tools and
systems in a classroom environment.
(Prerequisite: basic computer skills)
EDF
1005 Introduction to Education
This course focuses on teacher preparation issues
for the 21st century, emphasizing diversity, social
problems, legal issues and curricular themes. It provides
an overview of the American education system and an
introduction to the teaching profession.
EDG
2701 Teaching Diverse Populations
Upon completion of this course, students will be able
to demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts,
perspectives and impact of current and multicultural
diversity issues on the teacher, student, and educational
system as a whole. Students will also understand and
appreciate the local, state, and national implications
of these issues.
(Prerequisite: EDF 1005)
Note** Both EDF 1005 and EDG 2701 require 16 hours
of Field Experience.

Complete the following additional course requirements:
51 hours must be
chosen from the following liberal arts and sciences
area:
a) communications;
b) mathematics;
c) natural and/or physical sciences;
d) fine arts and/or humanities; and
e) social sciences.
These hours must include:
A minimum of nine
hours in communications, including writing, literature,
and speech.
A minimum of nine
hours in mathematics (excluding MAT 1033), including
college
algebra, or higher, and geometry. (Note: only courses
with prefixes MGF, MTF, MAC, and STA will meet the
math requirement. MGF1106, Mathematics for Liberal
Arts I, meets the intent of the program approval rule
with respect to the inclusion of geometry in the mathematics
requirement).
A minimum of nine
hours in science, including earth, life and physical
science, with a minimum of one associated lab.
A minimum of six
hours in the humanities including philosophy and
fine arts.
A minimum of 12
hours in the social sciences, including general
psychology and American history.
