| Phi Theta Kappa Comes to DTC A new chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa
International Honor Society has been inaugurated, enriching the
variety of student activities and organizations that now exist at
the Downtown Center. The new chapter, Beta Lambda Omega, inducted
its first members into the chapter. The PTK inductions were held
on Saturday July 11th, 2003 in a candlelight ceremony on the 12th
floor of building 33. A total of 14 students; Wendy Lueder, Heather
Mizer, Jorge Smith, Cindy Bertolino, Miriam Barkley, Cintia Betolino,
Anita Storey, Patricia Ritchie, Darlene Albert, Roberta Dragan,
Tzvi Makor, Debra Voeks, Virginia Russell and Elizabeth Long, were
inducted into the new chapter. With Downtown Center finally getting
its own PTK chapter, it has taken one more step in the process of
creating its own identity among the other campuses of Broward Community
College. |
