Phi Theta Kappa Comes to DTC A new chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society has been inaugurated, enriching the variety of student activities and organizations that now exist at the Downtown Center. The new chapter, Beta Lambda Omega, inducted its first members into the chapter. The PTK inductions were held on Saturday July 11th, 2003 in a candlelight ceremony on the 12th floor of building 33. A total of 14 students; Wendy Lueder, Heather Mizer, Jorge Smith, Cindy Bertolino, Miriam Barkley, Cintia Betolino, Anita Storey, Patricia Ritchie, Darlene Albert, Roberta Dragan, Tzvi Makor, Debra Voeks, Virginia Russell and Elizabeth Long, were inducted into the new chapter. With Downtown Center finally getting its own PTK chapter, it has taken one more step in the process of creating its own identity among the other campuses of Broward Community College.
