| Fall 2002 began with AASU members excited about election of new officers and their new faculty mentor, Vernon Jones, who heads BCC’s Gear Up program. There will be many valuable opportunities for AASU members to mentor middle and high school students. Some of their other ambitious goals include attending the national leadership conference, monthly events to educate BCC’s population about African-American heritage and culture, promotion and sponsorship of this year’s Black History Month, and discussion of issues that affect all of us. | ||||||
