What defines a leader? There are many different answers to this question and on September 5th the students of Broward Community College took a trip to Lake Placid, Florida, with the intention of finding a few of those answers. The leadership retreat was organized by North Campus Student Life and attended by students from North Campus, South Campus, and Downtown Center. The retreat was facilitated by Troy Stende, a nationally known and honored speaker. During the weekend students were given the opportunity to participate in a multitude of group activities designed to foster teamwork and the leadership abilities within each and every student. Students even got the opportunity to participate in an activity that involved breaking a wooden board in half with their hand or foot. Almost every student given this opportunity
